Kinesis receives prize from the Department of Economic Development and Commerce of Puerto Rico
The Kinesis Foundation received the Youth Commitment Award from the (DDEC), for its outstanding performance for the benefit of Puerto Rican education and youth.
The award, granted under the Youth Development Program, encourages, recognizes and promotes the work of organizations that provide tools that benefit the students.
“We deeply thank the Department of Economic Development and Commerce of Puerto Rico for recognizing the work of Kinesis with Puerto Rican education, but above all, for being part of the wills that together, support the academic and professional development of our youth”, said José Enrique Fernández, CEO of Kinesis; who was represented by the executive director of the Development Department of the organization, Luis Gautier Lloveras.
Amongst the outstanding services of the Kinesis Foundation, the Bright Stars academic program counts with students that this year has managed to be admitted mostly within prestigious universities such as the University of Notre Dame, Harvard, Stanford, MIT, University of Pennsylvania, Rochester, Georgetown, among others.
Also, many of these obtained admissions to the University of Puerto Rico (UPR).
On the other hand, Kinesis has distributed more than $7 million in scholarships to outstanding students with economic limitations since its creation in 2004.
