Gabriel Cruz Ruiz, originally from Aguadilla, is a distinguished member of the Kinesis Foundation scholarship program. After graduating from the Oberlin Conservatory, he is now continuing his passion for chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico while working as an assistant principal flutist in the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra.
In his free time, Gabriel practices the flute and the Cuban tres, in addition to enjoying numismatics and history. He loves walking with his dog, Capitán, listening to music, and is a big fan of the Star Wars series.
Gabriel discovered the Kinesis Foundation through its Facebook ads. Inspired by the achievements of his peers in the program, he decided to join. Although he already had a strong academic foundation, the Kinesis Foundation provided the additional support he needed to reach his most ambitious goals. The counseling programs and the example set by others encouraged him to keep striving for excellence.
