From a young age, Camila Molina García felt a passion for communication. Born and raised in Canóvanas, Puerto Rico, her curiosity for the world of news and journalism led her to explore different forms of expression. During her school years, she participated in various extracurricular activities such as ballet, volleyball, and acting. However, it wasn’t until she became part of the Kinesis Foundation that she discovered her true calling: journalism and news production.

Camila was selected as a Kinesis scholar and participated in the foundation’s leadership and public speaking workshops. These experiences not only helped her develop communication skills but also guided her in defining her professional path. Her academic performance and dedication led her to be accepted at the University of Puerto Rico in Arecibo, where she is pursuing a degree in Journalism and News Production.

Throughout her university career, she has excelled as a reporter and anchor on the program "Noticias Punto a Punto" and as a radio host on "Notas del Saco." Additionally, she is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) UPRA Chapter; an organization that promotes the development of Hispanic journalists in the United States and Puerto Rico. Her talent and dedication have been recognized with multiple awards, including First Place in the Cooperativa de Seguros Múltiples Oratory Contest in 2019, the High Honor Award, and the Leadership Award at her high school graduation in 2021.

Camila acknowledges that Kinesis has been fundamental in her academic and personal growth. In addition to the financial support, she has received, the workshops and guidance have helped her prepare for the challenges of the professional world. A key moment in her development was sharing her testimony at the Kinesis Gala an experience that not only reaffirmed her self-confidence but also motivated her to inspire other students to pursue their dreams.

For Camila, success is not just about achieving goals but also about enjoying the learning process. Her advice to other students is to take their time, explore different interests, and take advantage of every opportunity the university offers. Her story is a testament to the power of effort, dedication, and the support of organizations like Kinesis, which transform lives and open doors to a bright future.
